Economic and demographic statistics are a key tool for making informed, data-driven decisions.
But these statistics can be difficult to access and difficult to understand, and their incorrect use can yield misleading results. Regionomics offers more than 20 years of experience of obtaining, interpreting, and drawing implications from economic and demographic statistics. This experience is available on a recurring or ad-hoc basis.

Case Studies

The Columbus Foundation needed to communicate to their donors the substantial changes taking place in the central Ohio economy and community that might require a charitable response. The Foundation commissioned a report from Regionomics, “Columbus in 1980, 2015, and 2050” to illustrate the dynamic nature of the community and its needs. This report drew from a broad range of economic, demographic, and health statistical sources and featured such topics as population growth, the foreign-born population, income, poverty, housing security and homelessness, education, neighborhoods, the arts and humanities, health and disabilities, and the environment.

Hannah News Service has been a provider of Statehouse news, research, and legislative documents to policymakers and lobbyists since 1986. A long-time feature of Hannah’s Ohio information has been On the Money, a series of articles that traditionally has focused on the state budget and government finance. There was a need to provide context for this information with in-depth explorations of the Ohio economy. Hannah turned to Regionomics to supply a bimonthly article discussing the economy of Ohio and its diverse regions. These articles began in August 2012.
